Hello and welcome to my website. My name is Jodi and I am the artist that loves to paint cheerful and fun watercolors that make people happy. 

When I was growing up, my mother, a kindergarten teacher, would sit at the kitchen table creating her lesson plans for the week. This also included the art projects that went along with the lesson, so needless to say, I was always close behind cutting, pasting and coloring. This was the beginning of my creative drive. From there I learned to knit, sew, do stained glass, and many other forms of art. 

Later in my 50’s I decided I would tackle watercolors, but because I thought I could not draw, I said to myself, “I’m sure I can paint those loose florals that have no hard lines.”  With time, I created my own whimsical  style and that’s how Watercolor Whimsy began. 

I often set up a booth at festivals and craft shows and I will list the dates and times so you can come visit and look at my work in person.
